AIA 2016 - Under the Bridge

The American Institutes of Architects (AIA) held a design competition where students were tasked to activate a site under a bridge in the downtown Atlanta area. The problem is that the highway divides two parts of the city and the area overall is lacking in activity. The competition required housing, an outdoor stage and retail spaces. The plan is to revive the site by installing a public art and providing an open farmers market where various vendors can operate.
